Aqueous styrene-acrylic emulsion with a hollow water filled core. Upon drying the water evaporates leaving an air-filled void that provides opacity and excellent insulation properties. Suitable for application by size press, rod or blade or curtain coating, and compatible with common binder types.

Used in insulating thermal paper pre-coat and found in most types of direct thermal paper including point of sale, ticket, tag and label grades. Its low density, excellent runnability and ability to generate smooth coatings give significant performance benefits over traditional inorganic pigments.
