Water – as a liquid or as vapor – is one of the most destructive elements for concrete and masonry. Preventing water penetration through waterproofing is therefore an essential part of preserving the longevity of building structures. 

Decades of research and development have gone into Dow’s comprehensive range of solutions for waterproofing. Offering styrene acrylic and pure acrylic emulsions for both two-component and ready-to-use waterproofing, our products allow you to deliver high-quality waterproofing solutions for applications including wet rooms, water tanks, and balconies.

Two-Component Waterproofing

Two-component (or ‘cementitious’) waterproofing systems are prepared by mixing a liquid with a powder. When set, it forms a cast-in-place, water-resistant flexible membrane. 

These systems are particularly recommended for sealing and waterproofing wet rooms, water tanks, terraces, basement walls, and swimming pools – and can also be used for exterior surface protection thanks to their excellent weathering resistance.

Suitable for use on buildings and structural components exposed to periodic or long-term wetting, low hydrostatic pressure, and even high hydrostatic pressure when used in combination with the appropriate engineering.

Ready to-use waterproofing is a water-based polymer dispersion-based coating which dries down to form a seamless, flexible waterproofing membrane. It is best suited to areas that will be tiled or otherwise protected from regular foot traffic, such as internal wet areas, balconies, and decks.
